Senior Vice President, Water & Energy Services – Central

Matthew Jensen serves as Senior Vice President of Water & Energy Services – Central at Global Water Technology, Inc., where he leads the company’s largest and most complex field organization across Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Indiana, and Michigan. In this role, Matthew is responsible for guiding regional field strategy, operational execution, and service delivery in alignment with GWT’s growth objectives, client commitments, and national standards.

Matthew oversees a broad portfolio spanning GWT’s core service offerings, including Water & Energy Services, Water Safety, Support Services, and Pre-Treatment and Water Filtration solutions. With the largest team reporting through him, he plays a critical role in driving consistency, performance, and technical excellence across a diverse mix of markets, client types, and service environments.

Matthew has been instrumental in shaping GWT’s integrated support and solution delivery model, influencing the development and evolution of pure water solutions, contractor services, equipment design and support, water safety programs, laboratory services, and technical resources that enable complex client programs and support GWT’s field teams. His organization is the largest and most advanced user of these capabilities, leveraging cross-disciplinary resources to deliver comprehensive, multi-solution programs throughout the Central region. Through close collaboration with support and technical teams, Matthew ensures field insight continues to inform how services are designed, packaged, and executed.

In addition, Matthew plays a meaningful role in shaping the technical direction of GWT’s overall offering. Drawing on deep field experience and client insight, he contributes to the development of practical, scalable solutions that align technical rigor with real-world application and operational efficiency.

Matthew joined GWT in 2020 and has progressed through increasingly senior leadership roles, including Vice President of Technology and Innovation and Vice President of the Great Lakes Region, before advancing to Senior Vice President.

With a strong technical foundation, Matthew holds a degree in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point and brings deep industry expertise across manufacturing, food and beverage, and industrial markets. He has been an active member of the Association of Water Technologies (AWT) since 2014, earned his Certified Water Technologist (CWT) designation in 2009, and served the association in several leadership capacities, including election as AWT President in 2022. His continued involvement reflects a long-standing commitment to technical excellence, professional development, and advancing industry standards.
