Calumet City, Illinois, February 10, 2026 — Global Water Technology, Inc. (“GWT”), a leading provider of water treatment products, services, and solutions across North America, today announced the acquisition of Brochem Industries, a specialized private-label blender and manufacturer of water treatment chemicals serving independent and regional water treatment providers nationwide.

Founded in the early 2000s, Brochem has earned a reputation as a trusted partner to independent and regional water treatment firms that value responsiveness, flexibility, and dependable blending and manufacturing support without maintaining in-house production infrastructure.

The acquisition of Brochem meaningfully expands GWT’s Global Custom Solutions (“GCS”) platform, a business segment designed to enable trusted independent and regional water treatment partners to leverage the full scope and scale of GWT’s services and capabilities, including custom blending, private-label manufacturing, technical expertise, regulatory support, and operational infrastructure. In an industry increasingly shaped by consolidation, the GCS platform is intended to empower independent partners with the scale, flexibility, and resources needed to compete and grow without sacrificing operational independence, while creating durability and security through partnership with a trusted organization that shares their commitment to independence, entrepreneurship, and long-term creative collaboration over competitive confrontation.

Through its Global Custom Solutions platform, GWT is designed to complement and enhance partners’ existing supplier and toll blending relationships, not only in product manufacturing but also across a broader range of operational and technical services. By leveraging the breadth of GWT’s capabilities, the platform helps partners address gaps as they arise, including through leveraged commodity chemical sourcing and supply, purchasing power advantages, coordinated multi-site portfolio service coverage beyond partners’ traditional regional operating zones, water safety services, wastewater treatment products and technical support, pure water solutions, and other value-added resources. The platform further contributes to long-term organizational resilience by giving partners access to GWT’s institutional infrastructure and support network, helping strengthen continuity and stability during periods of change.

Through integration with GWT, Brochem’s clients will benefit from expanded technical and operational capabilities supported by GWT’s continued investment in its modern Calumet City manufacturing facility, resulting in enhanced production quality, greater consistency, and increased capacity to support partner growth.

“Brochem is an excellent strategic fit for Global Water Technology and our Global Custom Solutions platform,” said Darrel Wynkoop, Vice President, Business Integrations at Global Water Technology, Inc. “Their service-oriented approach strengthens our ability to support independent and regional partners with responsive, scalable blending and manufacturing solutions that help them meet customer needs quickly and efficiently. This acquisition also supports our continued investment in our Calumet City manufacturing facility by increasing throughput, expanding formulation capacity, and enhancing our ability to serve partners at a national scale.”

The transaction reinforces GWT’s long-term investment in its Calumet City, Illinois manufacturing and distribution facility, increasing production throughput, operational efficiency, and capacity to support both internal growth and partner-driven demand across the GCS platform.

While most of GWT’s acquisitions have focused on traditional water treatment service firms, the company has selectively pursued opportunities that broaden its capabilities and solutions. In 2020, GWT acquired Bates Water Solutions, expanding into pure water and mechanical treatment technologies including softening, deionization, reverse osmosis, and advanced filtration for commercial and institutional clients. The Brochem acquisition follows a similar strategy by strengthening GWT’s private-label blending, toll manufacturing, and supplier capabilities in support of independent and regional partners nationwide.

The acquisition also builds on a long-standing relationship between the organizations. Brochem founder Chuck Mihalov was part of the original group of professionals who supported the founding of Global Water Technology in 1990. Brochem later served as a supplier and blending partner to GWT until the company brought manufacturing in-house in 2018. This shared history and alignment in operating philosophy provide a strong foundation for integration and future growth. Mihalov will remain involved in a supporting capacity during the transition, providing continuity, institutional knowledge, and technical insight.

Brochem’s partner-focused business model complements GWT’s existing service and product offerings by strengthening supplier, blending, and manufacturing capabilities. Together, the organizations will deliver greater formulation flexibility, increased production capacity, enhanced responsiveness, and expanded private-label solutions to independent and regional partners nationwide.

The transaction aligns with GWT’s long-term strategy of growing both organically and through targeted acquisitions that deepen core competencies, strengthen partnerships, and create scalable platforms that support the broader water treatment industry.
