Calumet City, Illinois, June 25, 2026 — Global Water Technology, Inc. (“GWT”), a leading national provider of industrial water treatment, energy services, and specialty chemical solutions, today announced the opening of a new Northern California operations and distribution facility in Richmond, California.
The new facility replaces the company’s previous Fremont location and increases warehouse and distribution capacity by more than four times. In addition to significantly expanding inventory and logistics capabilities, the Richmond facility provides a modern, collaborative workspace designed to support GWT’s growing West Coast team and serve as a regional hub for continued expansion.
The investment marks another significant milestone in GWT’s ongoing growth throughout the Western United States. The company’s West Coast presence began in 2020 with the acquisition of Water-Tech Specialties and was quickly followed by the addition of SKASOL Incorporated. In 2024, GWT further expanded its regional footprint through the acquisition of West Coast Water Services. Together, these businesses have helped establish a strong foundation for growth across California while extending GWT’s presence into Nevada, Arizona, and surrounding markets.
“This facility represents much more than additional warehouse space,” said Matthew Beauregard, CWT, Regional Vice President for Global Water Technology’s West Coast operations. “It reflects our long-term commitment to our employees, customers, and the future of our West Coast business. Over the past several years, we have built an exceptional team and developed strong relationships throughout the region. This investment provides the infrastructure needed to support continued growth while creating a central location where our team can collaborate, innovate, and better serve our customers.”
The Richmond facility also strengthens the connection between GWT’s West Coast operations and its recently expanded headquarters, manufacturing, and distribution campus in Calumet City, Illinois. By increasing warehouse capacity and enhancing supply chain flexibility, the company will be able to more strategically leverage its investments in centralized production while maintaining responsive local inventory and service capabilities throughout the West.
“Our investments in Richmond and our headquarters campus in Illinois are part of a broader strategy to build a scalable national platform while maintaining strong local operations,” said Darrel Wynkoop, Chief Product Officer for Global Water Technology. “The additional warehouse capacity allows us to optimize sourcing, manufacturing, inventory management, and distribution across our network. As we continue increasing production capabilities at our Calumet City facility, Richmond becomes an important distribution hub that helps us better serve customers throughout the Western United States.”
The Richmond facility will support GWT’s growing portfolio of water treatment, water safety, wastewater, energy management, and related technical services while providing the capacity necessary to support future growth initiatives throughout the region.
