South Holland, Illinois — August 20, 2024 — Global Water Technology, Inc., the leading provider of water and wastewater treatment strategies and solutions for numerous industries, has recently completed the purchase of a new 100,000 square foot headquarters located in nearby Calumet City, Illinois. This new HQ will help GWT accommodate rapid growth and leverage the area’s diverse and experienced talent pool.

In addition to the technical and laboratory facilities located in Louisville, Kentucky as well as the five regional offices across the United States, the new HQ space doubles the office footprint and supports the company’s product and solutions growth strategy. GWT’s recent acquisition of Bluegrass KESCO as well as the impending announcement of a second industry acquisition in 2024 has accelerated the company’s growth and resource requirements.

“With our new headquarters, Global Water Technology is making a long-term investment in our business and Calumet City’s future while ensuring that we operate in a highly efficient and world-class environment for the 21st century,” said Michael A. Byerley, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Global Water Technology, Inc. “We are extremely excited about what the building and green space will provide for our greatest assets – our team members – including state-of-the-art technology, health and wellness amenities, and unique public and collaboration spaces, among many other features. It is in the right location and provides the backdrop required for our continued growth.”

CBRE’s Bill Sheehy and Matt Cowie represented GWT in the purchase negotiations. “It was a pleasure working with GWT as they secured a dynamic headquarters location that will greatly contribute to their future growth,” said Sheehy.

“Signature Bank was thrilled to support GWT’s expansion into Calumet City. Signature was able to utilize the Community Small Business Advance Program from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago, which supports real estate projects for community development,” said Mick O’Rourke, President and Chief Executive Officer, Signature Bank. “The team at GWT should be commended for the professional manner in which they handled the entire project. We look forward to continuing our mutually beneficial relationship with GWT.”

This mixed-use facility of office and production space is poised to accommodate GWT’s growing workforce, create an optimal and industry-leading work environment and substantially increase its superior direct-to-client service offerings on a national scale.

GWT plans to commence operations at its new headquarters in 2024, with the move and relocation complete in the second quarter of 2025. With this commitment to a larger base of operations, GWT will be further empowered to develop innovative water treatment technologies and cost-effective solutions for minimizing water consumption, complementing the efforts of the entire GWT team as it continues to provide its clientele with a seamless and integrated service experience.
